The House convened, starting a new legislative day.

Ms. Roybal-Allard asked unanimous consent that the Chairwoman of the Committee on Appropriations may insert in the Congressional Record, not later than January 18, 2019, such material as she may deem explanatory of H.R. 648. Agreed to without objection.

The House received a message from the Clerk. Pursuant to the permission granted in Clause 2(h) of Rule II of the Rules of the U.S. House of Representatives, the Clerk notified the House that she had received a message from the Secretary of the Senate on January 17, 2019 at 4:55 p.m. stating that that body had made appointments to the United States Senate Caucus on International Narcotics Control and the Board of Trustees of the John C. Stennis Center for Public Service Training and Development for a six-year term.

Ms. Roybal-Allard asked unanimous consent That when the House adjourns on Friday, January 18, 2019, it adjourn to meet at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 for morning hour debate and 2 p.m. for legislative business. Agreed to without objection.

The House adjourned pursuant to a previous special order. The next meeting is scheduled for 12:00 p.m. on January 22, 2019.
