The House received a communication from Vicky Hartzler, Member of Congress. Pursuant to Rule VIII of the Rules of the House of Representatives, Mrs. Hartzler notified the House that she had been served with civil subpoenas for documents and deposition testimony issued by the United States District Court for the District of Maryland, and that after consultation with the Office of General Counsel, she had determined that compliance with the subpoenas is not consistent with the privileges and rights of the House.

The House received a message from the Clerk. Pursuant to the permission granted in Clause 2(h) of Rule II of the Rules of the U.S. House of Representatives, the Clerk notified the House that she had received the following message from the Secretary of the Senate on March 5, 2018 at 10:12 a.m.: That the Senate passed S. 1621, S. 2248, S. 2372; and passed H.R. 3656, without amemdment.

The Speaker announced that the House do now recess. The next meeting is scheduled for 5:00 P.M. today.

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE - The Chair designated Mrs. Brooks of IN to lead the Members in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.
