DEBATE - Pursuant to the provisions of H. Res. 445, the Committee of the Whole proceeded with 10 minutes of debate on the Dean amendment No. 66.

An amendment, offered by Ms. Dean, numbered 66 printed in Part B of House Report 116-119 to increase funding for the John R. Justice Program by $2,000,000, to provide student loan repayment assistance for public defenders and prosecutors. This program is intended to serve as an incentive for qualified individuals to enter and continue employment as public defenders or prosecutors- without this vital funding, the program will continue to fall short of its mission.

DEBATE - Pursuant to the provisions of H. Res. 445, the Committee of the Whole proceeded with 10 minutes of debate on the Crow amendment No. 65.

An amendment, offered by Mr. Crow, numbered 65 printed in Part B of House Report 116-119 to ensure that the U.S. Census Bureau follow existing law and not share data or information gathered, especially through data sharing agreements, with any department, bureau, or agency and penalizes disclosure of information by Census employees.

The House resolved into Committee of the Whole House on the state of the Union for further consideration.

Considered as unfinished business. H.R. 3055 — "Making appropriations for the Departments of Commerce and Justice, Science, and Related Agencies for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2020, and for other purposes."
