UNFINISHED BUSINESS - The Chair announced that the unfinished question is on ordering the previous question on H. Res. 629, which was debated earlier and on which further proceedings had been postponed.

At the conclusion of debate, the Yeas and Nays were demanded and ordered. Pursuant to the provisions of clause 8, rule XX, the Chair announced that further proceedings on the motion would be postponed.

DEBATE - The House proceeded with forty minutes of debate on H.J. Res. 77.

Considered under suspension of the rules. H.J. Res. 77 — "Opposing the decision to end certain United States efforts to prevent Turkish military operations against Syrian Kurdish forces in Northeast Syria."

POSTPONED PROCEEDINGS - At the conclusion of debate on H. Res. 629, the Chair put the question on ordering the previous question, and by voice vote, announced that the ayes had prevailed. Mr. Woodall demanded the yeas and nays and the Chair postponed further proceedings on H. Res. 629 until a time to be announced.

The Speaker announced that votes on suspensions, if ordered, will be postponed until a time to be announced.

NOTIFICATION OF INTENT TO OFFER RESOLUTION - Mr. Biggs was recognized to give noticed of his intent to raise a question of the privileges of the House and proceeded to present the form of a resolution. Subsequently, under rule IX, the Chair announced that a resolution offered from the floor by a Member other than the Majority Leader or the Minority Leader as a question of the privileges of the House has immediate precedence only at a time designated by the Chair within two legislative days after the resolution is properly noticed.

DEBATE - The House proceeded with one hour of debate on H. Res. 629.

Considered as privileged matter. H. Res. 629 — "Providing for consideration of the bill (H.R. 1815) to require the Securities and Exchange Commission, when developing rules and regulations about disclosures to retail investors, to conduct investor testing, including a survey and interviews of retail investors, and for other purposes, and providing for consideration of the bill (H.R. 3624) to amend the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 to require the disclosure of the total number of domestic and foreign employees of certain public companies, and for other purposes."

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE - The Chair designated Mr. Comer to lead the Members in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.
