Creating Options for Veterans' Expedited Recovery Commission - Pursuant to section 931 of the Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery Act of 2016 (Public Law 114-198), the Democratic Leader appointed Dr. Michael J. Potoczniack, El Cerrito, CA and Dr. Shira Maguen of San Francisco, CA to serve as Commissioners.

Joint Select Committee on Budget and Appropriations Process Reform - Pursuant to section 30422(b)(3) of the Bipartisan Budget Act of 2018 (Public Law 115-123), and the order of the House of January 3, 2017, the Speaker appointed the following members of the House to the Joint Select Committee on Budget and Appropriations Process Reform: Mr. Womack, Mr. Sessions, Mr. Woodall and Mr. Arrington.

Joint Select Committee on Solvency of Multiemployer Pension Plans - Pursuant to section 30422(b)(3) of the Bipartisan Budget Act of 2018 (Public Law 115-123), and the order of the House of January 3, 2017, the Speaker appointed the following members of the House to the Joint Select Committee on Solvency of Multiemployer Pension Plans: Ms. Foxx, Mr. Roe of Tennessee, Mr. Buchanan and Mr. Schweikert.

The House received a communication from Salley Wood, Sr. Advisor, Office of the Chief Administrative Officer. Pursuant to Rule VIII of the Rules of the House of Representatives, Ms. Wood notified the House that she had been served with a subpoena for testimony in a criminal trial issued by the United States District Court for the District of Columbia, and that after consultation with the Office of General Counsel, she had determined that compliance with the subpoena is consistent with the privileges and rights of the House.

The House received a communication from Amy Porter, Chief of Staff for Congressman Ed Royce. Pursuant to Rule VIII of the Rules of the House of Representatives, Ms. Porter notified the House that she had been served with a subpoena for testimony in a criminal trial issued by the United States District Court for the District of Columbia, and that after consultation with the Office of General Counsel, she had determined that compliance with the subpoena is consistent with the privileges and rights of the House.
