JOINT SESSION DISSOLVED - The Speaker declared the Joint Session of the two Houses dissolved.

JOINT SESSION - The House convened in Joint Session with the Senate for the purpose of receiving an address from the President of the United States on the subject of the state of the Union.

The House convened, returning from a recess continuing the legislative day of February 5.

The Speaker announced that the House do now recess for the purpose of receiving in joint session the President of the United States. The next meeting is scheduled for 8:35 P.M. today.

Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe - Pursuant to 22 U.S.C 3003, and the order of the House of January 3, 2019, the Speaker appointed the following member of the House to the Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe: Mr. Hastings.

The House received a message from the Clerk. Pursuant to the permission granted in Clause 2(h) of Rule II of the Rules of the U.S. House of Representatives, the Clerk notified the House that she had received the following message from the Secretary of the Senate on February 5, 2019, at 9:28 a.m.: that the Senate agreed to H. Con. Res. 9.
