SPEAKER'S APPROVAL OF THE JOURNAL - Pursuant to section 3(a) of H. Res. 389, the Journal of the last day's proceedings was approved.

Ms. Shalala asked unanimous consent to take from the Speaker's table the bill, H.R. 2157, and agree to the Senate amendment. Mr. Roy objected to the consideration of the Senate amendment.

The Speaker announced that the House do now adjourn pursuant to section 3(b) of H. Res. 389. The next meeting is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on May 28, 2019.

The House received a message from the Clerk. Pursuant to the permission granted in Clause 2(h) of Rule II of the Rules of the U.S. House of Representatives, the Clerk notified the House that she had received the following message from the Secretary of the Senate on May 23, 2019, at 5:31 p.m.: that the Senate passed S. 151, and that the Senate passed H.R. 2157 with an amendment.

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE - The Chair designated Ms. Shalala to lead the Members in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.
