Providing for a correction in the enrollment of H.R. 2266. (10/25/2017 legislative day)

The House received a message from the Clerk. Pursuant to the permission granted in Clause 2(h) of Rule II of the Rules of the U.S. House of Representatives, the Clerk notified the House that she received the following message from the Secretary of the Senate on October 25, 2017, at 9:07 a.m.: that the Senate passed S. 226 and S. 1766; that the Senate agreed to the House amendment to the Senate amendment to H.R. 2266, that the Senate passed H.J. Res. 111, and appointments: United States Holocaust Memorial Council and Western Hemisphere Drug Policy Council.

ONE MINUTE SPEECHES - The House proceeded with one minute speeches, which by direction of the Chair, would be limited to 15 per side of the aisle.

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE - The Chair designated Mr. Pittenger to lead the Members in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.

SPEAKER'S APPROVAL OF THE JOURNAL - The Chair announced that he had examined the Journal of the last day's proceedings and had approved it. Mr. Wilson (SC) demanded that the question be put on agreeing to the Speaker's approval of the Journal and by voice vote, the Chair announced that the ayes had prevailed. Mr. Wilson (SC) demanded the Yeas and Nays and the Chair announced that further proceedings on the question of agreeing to the Speaker's approval of the Journal would be postponed until later in the legislative day.

The House convened, returning from a recess continuing the legislative day of October 25.

The Speaker announced that the House do now recess. The next meeting is scheduled for 12:00 P.M. today.

MORNING-HOUR DEBATE - The House proceeded with Morning-Hour Debate. At the conclusion of Morning-Hour, the House will recess until 12:00 p.m. for the start of legislative business.

The Speaker designated the Honorable Scott Perry to act as Speaker pro tempore for today.

A bill to exclude power supply circuits, drivers, and devices to be connected to, and power, light-emitting diodes or organic light-emitting diodes providing illumination or ceiling fans using direct current motors from energy conservation standards for external power supplies. Protecting Patient Access to Emergency Medications Act of 2017 (10/24/2017 legislative day)

A resolution recognizing the Sailors and Marines who sacrificed their lives for ship and shipmates while fighting the devastating 1967 fire onboard USS Forrestal and, during the week of the 50th anniversary of the tragic event, commemorating the efforts of those who survived. Providing for congressional disapproval under chapter 8 of title 5, United States Code, of the rule submitted by Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection relating to "Arbitration Agreements". (10/24/2017 legislative day)
