Pursuant to Rule VIII of the Rules of the House of Representatives, Ms. Valdez notified the House that she had been served with a subpoena for documents and a separate subpoena for testimony, issued by the Superior Court, County of San Bernardino, and that after consultation with the Office of General Counsel, she would make the determinations as required by Rule VIII.
