POSTPONED PROCEEDINGS - At the conclusion of debate on S. 2372, the Chair put the question on passage of the bill and by voice vote announced the ayes had prevailed. Mr. Roe (TN) demanded a recorded vote and the Chair postponed further proceedings on passage of S. 2372 until later in the legislative day.

GENERAL DEBATE - The Committee of the Whole proceeded with one hour of general debate on H.R. 2.

The Speaker designated the Honorable Paul Mitchell to act as Chairman of the Committee.
