Pursuant to the permission granted in Clause 2(h) of Rule II of the Rules of the U.S. House of Representatives, the Deputy Clerk notified the House that he had received the following message from the Secretary of the Senate on May 28, 2019 at 10:17 a.m.: That the Senate passed S. 1693 and agreed to S. Con. Res. 3.

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE - The Chair designated Mr. Bishop of GA to lead the Members in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.

SPEAKER'S APPROVAL OF THE JOURNAL - Pursuant to section 3(a) of H. Res. 389, the Journal of the last day's proceedings was approved.

Today's prayer was offered by Rev. Alisa Lasater Wailoo, Capitol Hill United Methodist Church, Washington, DC.

The Speaker designated the Honorable Jennifer Wexton to act as Speaker pro tempore for today.

SPEAKER'S APPROVAL OF THE JOURNAL - Pursuant to section 3(a) of H. Res. 389, the Journal of the last day's proceedings was approved.

Ms. Shalala asked unanimous consent to take from the Speaker's table the bill, H.R. 2157, and agree to the Senate amendment. Mr. Roy objected to the consideration of the Senate amendment.

The Speaker announced that the House do now adjourn pursuant to section 3(b) of H. Res. 389. The next meeting is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on May 28, 2019.
