POSTPONED PROCEEDINGS - At the conclusion of debate on H. Res. 240, the Chair put the question on ordering the previous question and by voice vote announced that the ayes had prevailed. Mr. Polis (CO) demanded the yeas and nays, and the Chair postponed further proceedings on the question of ordering the previous question until later in the legislative day.

DEBATE - The House proceeded with one hour of debate on H. Res. 241.

Considered as privileged matter. H. Res. 241 — "Providing for consideration of the bill (H.R. 1304) to amend the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974, the Public Health Service Act, and the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to exclude from the definition of health insurance coverage certain medical stop-loss insurance obtained by certain plan sponsors of group health plans."

DEBATE - The House proceeded with one hour of debate on H. Res. 240.

Res. 240 — "Providing for consideration of the bill (H.R. 1343) to direct the Securities and Exchange Commission to revise its rules so as to increase the threshold amount for requiring issuers to provide certain disclosures relating to compensatory benefit plans."
