POSTPONED PROCEEDINGS - At the conclusion of debate on H. Res. 324, the Chair put the question on ordering the previous question, and by voice vote announced that the ayes had prevailed. Mr. Polis demanded the yeas and nays, and the Chair postponed further proceedings on H. Res. 324 until later in the legislative day.

The Speaker announced that the House do now recess. The next meeting is scheduled for 2:15 P.M. today.

DEBATE - The House proceeded with one hour of debate on H. Res. 324.

Considered as privileged matter. H. Res. 324 — "Providing for consideration of the bill (H.R. 1039) to amend section 3606 of title 18, United States Code, to grant probation officers authority to arrest hostile third parties who obstruct or impede a probation officer in the performance of official duties."
